USS-POSCO was a RCRA permitted facility in 1985 for the operation of its 500 acre site including 5 hazardous waste management units (HWMU). Directed and supervised closure of three of the HWMUs in accordance with RCRA regulations and prepared and signed closure certification reports. Also directed and supervised preparation of Part B Permit Application for the facility which included the remaining HWMUs. This included preparation of SIR (Site Investigation Report) identifying all AOCs (Areas of Concern) and associated COCs (Constituents of Concern), assisting the LEA (lead environmental agency, i.e., Cal-EPA in this case) prepare its RFA (RCRA Facility Assessment) report. Subsequently, directed and supervised all field, laboratory, and analytical work and prepared the RFI (RCRA Facility Investigation) and CMS (Corrective Measure Study) reports in support of the Part B Permit Application. |
